Tony Musante is a real stand out in THE INCIDENT--and a very young Donna Mills!
I didn't know she went back so far.
BLAST OF SILENCE is perhaps the grimmest Christmas film ever.
CONQUEROR OF CORINTH 1962 -- with John Drew Barrymore and Gordon Mitchell--Rome wants to conquer an independent Greek country--the bad guys are the Greeks merely wanting to preserve their society against foreign invasion (seems kind of ass backwards that they would be the bad guys but when in Rome....). As peplums go this one isn't as run of the mill as some-and an interesting twist is a fight between two women where one defends herself with a whip! 7/10
FBI GIRL 1951 - Audrey Totter, Caesar Romero, Raymond Burr (once again as the bad guy). Good procedural on FBI (it must be really different today). 8/10
A DATE WITH DEATH 1959 --Gerald Mohr was really tailor-made for noir films. Reminds me of Humphrey Bogart--here he is a train hobo who discovered a body in a car and decides to impersonate the dead man to make his way on the road-only to be met by town police who escort him to City Hall so he can be hailed as their new police chief! 9/10
HELL'S ANGELS ON WHEELS 1967 --Jack Nicholson as a middle class young man who gets involved in the biker gang of Adam Rourke. Interesting to see how Nicholson went from the goofy son in the Raven to a more gritty leading man. This is a transition film for it. These biker films (I have watched a few) are an oddball experience since the shenanigans of the gangs may have been rough in the 60s but now seem kind of comical and tame. 6/10
I hate giving number ratings!
