Nice. Both Muncy and Luke Voit, who were unknown names before the 2018 season, are both sitting at 17 home runs so far this year. I like to see these allege "Quadruple A" sluggers make it to the bigs and show what they can do.
I don't get to watch Muncy and the Dodgers often, but Voit is ebullient whenever he or one of his teammates gets a hit. You can tell he's just really happy to be in pinstripes and playing in MLB.
Muncy had a phenomenal run at the second half of last year, so I disagree with your assessment that it is just this year. Austin Meadows definitely belongs in this discussion though. He started hot for week or two on his debut and then became useless on the pirates. Now he is having a breakout year to silence the haters. Sure, he was a #1 prospect and he has cooled off in the last couple of weeks, but his stats are ridiculous.
