The way I see it... doctors and big pharma are more concerned with pumping people full of drugs for the $ more than having a real concern for the common persons health. I think those who blindly believe everything a doctor says and big pharma are suckers.
sure, they might be pretty good when it comes to saving someones life, but for non-life threatening stuff, I tend to avoid prescription drugs in general as they can't be good for your overall health in the long term especially when people are on one drug for something and then need another to counter the side effects of another etc etc. before you know it, they are on too many meds (like a shelf full of them) and that's almost surely bad for ones overall health over the long run. they should cut out the non-essential ones and only take the high priority stuff.
I tend to be on the cautious side when it comes to meds/injections etc as I avoid them unless absolutely necessary.
hell, you can tell they (big pharma etc) are shady given some of the side effects they mention on their drug commercials are worse than the thing they are trying to fix. like some admit they can cause cancer and other serious side effects. you can see as time passes their standards are getting lower because of the $.
