There was a Super Bowl XLIV (2010) ad from How I Met Your Mother (2005 - 2014) where the character of Barney Stinson revealed his phone number to the audience.

It was intentional. If you called it, you received a recording from Neil Patrick Harris. Pretty good marketing strategy.
