As someone who is slightly claustrophobic, the Descent was terrifying. There's one scene in particular where the characters have to kinda shimmy through a very narrow tunnel to get from one chamber to another and the main character gets momentarily stuck....ugh. Just thinking about it gives me the willies. Very effectively done. Yeah, that's a great sequence. That movie has some script issues, but some of the stuff is really well directed and totally visceral. I like the creature stuff a lot, but I think it could have worked just as well, if not better, without any of monsters. It's unsettling enough just as a horror movie about claustrophobia.
