That's honestly one of my biggest arguments for it. It can be a big way of staying connected to a group of friends who you may RARELY see anymore.

The major league that I'm a part of is filled with guys that I met 30 years ago this September. With all of us married at least ten years ago, draft day is the only guaranteed day of the year that all 12 of us are communicating with each other on the same day.

Draft day has become one of the ten days that I look most forward to each year for just this reason.
