trick r' treat fun ride to put in your Halloween rotation you're not getting The Shining here - got to take it for what it is - fun halloween popcorn flick 7/10 beers  trick r treat is better than The Shining. Few movies have wasted a great atmosphere of dread like The Shining did. The scenery chewing is cringe often and the butt ugly annoying shelley duvall is horribly miscast and fails to raise even an iota of sympathy. I would have loved to see Jack bash her brains in bash em right the fuck in.
