When Yoda said there is no try, that's complete bullshit. You can absolutely try and you can absolutely fail too. I was just thinking yesterday how Yoda was right with this. he doesnt talk about the results (make it or fail) he talks about the mindset where “try” is the fail. and iys a fail even id it coincidently works out. i agree with him. well i always thought that he was saying, you either succeed or you don't. "try" is just a word used to describe the intermediary state between beginning an attempt and the final outcome. so he's taking a philosophical stance without regard for time, which sounds a little like determinism. because in the end, the outcome is known.
my gripe is that he pays no heed to the pain of failure and the path towards it. it's like he's saying it's all or nothing. that's probably not even what's saying, but as it applies to my life, it feels dismissive.
