I found the Asian guy a bit confusing at first too. He definitely looked older than the others. If he was supposed to be in the same year as Peter Parker, Ned, MJ and Flash now, it means he would have been five years younger and presumably five grades behind them before they disappeared. Do high schoolers even know anybody five grades behind them? Do they even go to the same school?
just seems like a plothole bro. And kind of a major one. If I'm missing something, pls explain, but I'm not going and rewatching the damn movie.
Nah, I wouldn't call it a plothole, as the ages and grades are never (to the best of my recollection) explicitly stated. He could have been three years younger and now two years older than everyone else - or he could have been five yours younger and now the same age as everyone else, only appearing to be even older.
We don't know either if the Europe trip was exclusively for students in Peter's grade, or if it was open to other grades. Maybe the Asian kid was now a senior while the others were sophomores.
