I loved these movies when they were broadcast and I loved this intro. The song along with that man's voice were a magical combination. I always assumed the song was originally written for this intro.Twenty years later a got a Best of Burt Bacharach CD Box Set. The song list had all of his familiar hits and some I'd never heard of. One of these was named "Nikki" and when I played it I screamed, "Oh my God! Its the ABC Movie of the Week theme!" I hadn't heard it in all of those years but instantly recognized it. Thanks for posting this. I wonder whose voice that was. To the Google.
