But even given that, this approach is the dumbest possible idea I could imagine.

If they went to 18 games and added another bye week, then they could work the schedule to make Superbowl Sunday on President's Day weekend, like they've always wanted to and not have to force coaches to ruin games for fans as much

But 16 games with the 4 rounds of playoffs is perfect as is. No changes should be made to the schedule. They have other issues to address.
