Cool! This is another show my niece and nephew watched.
When I brought them some gifts, I included a Peppa Pig magazine. My sister-in-law (their mother) mentioned that this was fine, but nothing else for Peppa Pig going forward. When I asked why, she explained that the children called Daddy Pig 'fat'.
Fair enough.
I can safely say that is the only program that they were not to watch anymore. Well...other than Caillou. Sister-in-law made it very clear:
NO CAILLOU IN OUR HOUSE!
My brother said that my sister-in-law said that it portrays a tarnished image of what French Canadians are like - likely because her side of the family is French-Canadian.
I PVR'd an episode - just for kicks. I just have this to say:
Whoa! What a brat!

Peppa Pig's pretty amusing with its dry British humor, mixed with lots of pig snorts. I've never had the misfortune of watching Caillou, although I've heard horror stories about it!
