xystophoros To be sure. The Matrix trilogy isn't perfectly explicable and without plot hole or contradictions. As I broached, the very 'battery' premise that the entire film is predicated upon, is fundamentally flawed. However, the rich tapestry the Wachowski sisters (?) weaved, is so intricate that it does warrant cogitation ― even near two decades later. bb15 Yeah... Mine was just my 2¢ worth, in deference to your 'expansive' contribution at (seemingly) my behest. >merely being neighbourly notwithstanding, I do agree with your IMDb sentiments. For they echo my lament at the message boards being erased from the histories. A truly reprehensible act, to expunge such a resource... kind of like the Internet message board form of the ISIS / Palmyra desecration. Yes, the human/battery idea from Matrix 1 doesn't make much sense. All humans could do was store energy. And if that was their only purpose, why not use cows? Resulting in the label for the film, "The Mootrix". - As I recall there was an idea in a comic on the Matrix website which was about using humans as linked computers. That makes more sense but that wasn't put in the film. * This is why I believe that Matrix 1 is missing a lot of important information in order for the story to be more logical. While the sequels have problems as movies, their information fills in the story gaps from Matrix 1 and help the first movie make a lot more sense imo. "The Animatrix" also provides useful information. * As for the IMDb message boards, I think the problems there could have been fixed but unfortunately the decision was make to end an excellent movie discussion site. Imo at least, BB ;-)
