Why do action movies rarely get a Best Picture nomination?

Yeah, it's mostly politics in how they nominate stuff, especially lately. where it's mostly about kissing up to minorities simply because they are minorities instead of letting the nominations play out straight up. basically when they force people to give them awards, it lowers the value of those awards vs years ago when a minority won, it was more legitimate since people were not basically told to give them a award. because the vast majority of awards will go to white people since they tend to dominate most movies, so it's natural they will get the most awards because of it. just basic math. like on the flip side of that... in the NBA with say the MVP award for example... things will naturally be reversed since black people tend to dominate the NBA and white people, while they win the MVP award once in a while, are not going to win it much in general. it's just basic math.

p.s. but just straight up... there are not many movies nominated for 'Best Picture' that are of any real worth in the long term. because like I always say a movies true worth is whether audiences want to re-watch a movie from time-to-time as the years pass or not as those that tend to be re-watched a fair amount tend to be remembered and those that don't are pretty much forgettable/forgotten. the vast majority are pretty much forgotten by most.
