But MCU will probably retcon that in the next movie. No they've already said the next one will revolve around it. But will that just consist of them showing the world that Mysterio's video footage was doctored and then the whole thing is forgotten. Or will they actually show the consequences of the whole world knowing Spider-Man's identity? In the post-credit scene for Homecoming, when Vulture went to prison, the other inmates thought Vulture knew Spider-Man's identity and wanted Vulture to tell them who Spider-Man is. Now that they know who Spider-Man is, will they put a contract out on Aunt May or Peter's friends like Ned and MJ aka Mary Jane? Will social services take Peter away from Aunt May for child endangerment (letting her under-age nephew dress up as a vigilante and fight against dangerous criminals) and put Peter in a foster home? Or will MCU retcon it and just ignore those consequences like how they ignored the fact that Bucky murdered 2 innocent civilians and is a fugitive from the law and ignored the fact that Cap is also a fugitive from the law after aiding and abetting Bucky to flee from the law?
