To a degree, yes. Genesis 6:1-4 doesn’t give much context, but that event (or events) caused such bad conditions, that God intervened in a way He never has since!

No doubt the situation that existed.....these “sons of God” having sex with women and producing offspring, the giant  Nephilim......was the catalyst for the Ancient Greek, Roman, Hindu, Norse, etc., mythologies describing the gods having sex with women, and controlling men’s affairs.

i often wonder if that’s where the technology came from, for the Egyptians to build the pyramids. The Mayans, too.
