Ashes 2019 - Smith fails as Aus plunge to defeat

I don't like Root at 3 at all. You should only be batting at 3 if you're a test No.3. Root is much better coming in at a time when the ball isn't moving and he can throw his bat at the ball. Stokes is an interesting one. He could indeed be the key. Warner and Smith should score plenty, but I think for both teams it's going to be what they can get out of guys like Bairstow, Bancroft etc. I don't think you can win a 5 test series off one or two men's bats.
