I was going to mention in the least threatening villains thread that the Somali bad guy at the start of Expendables was quite memorable. Especially for that fist defiant gesture when the target light goes on his heart.
The first movie felt refreshing given that it had better writing than other films of the time however it simply did not go far enough, and Charles Bronson at the same age was kicking ass so much better (throwing guys in acid vats etc).
I think the first Expendables NEEDED an extra scene--where Eric Roberts gets back to the US, kidnaps what's his name's girlfriend, and then who comes to the rescue? Dolph Lundgren.
Unfortunately it went a little soft.
And the sequels just got worse.
That completely dead weight Chinese actress (I use the term loosely). Van Damme was ok but they should have had him fight Norris.
And the third--man Harrison Ford looks so old. It makes me feel old when I look at him.
