Haven’t seen the sequels, although I’ll likely get exhausted trying to get through them all. This is my first time watching the original.
It's really your own decision but if I were you, I would just watch the First 4 (those are the only ones that Steve Guttenberg, the Lead Actor from the First Movie, did. He left the Franchise after that.).
The rest are just.......well..........yeah!
