I remember a few years back people raving about someone leading the league in steals with 45 and I was going wtf? That's a great total now? Back in my day we had Rickey Hendersons and Vince Colemans and Tim Raines. I used to walk 20 miles to school each way and all I'd do was read those three guys' baseball cards the whole way. Omar Moreno, Maury Wiils before that. Hell even white guy Scott Podsednik stole more than that. One of the most amazing things to me is the Maury Will's OBP the year he stole 104. Look it up. How do you score 130 runs, steal 104 bases and have an OBP that low. I know some people think he should be in the Hall, I don't think he's remotely close.
