I honestly did not see this coming. If they really do just cool it with all the PC and SJW crap and let their heroes shine again, I'm in. And there's no reason they can't still push a progressive agenda with new books, if they so desire. Make a team book out of the new characters. If they don't sell, it's the fault of the readership. You can't blame the publisher for lack of diversity if the product is available and nobody's buying it. I just think it's counterproductive to hijack existing heroes in some kind of literary affirmative action attempt. It's just too much at once. In theory, I prefer the idea of 'legacy' heroes; meaning, the name lives on through a new character as they're doing now. But it reeks of pandering when you pull stunts like they have in recent times with Iron Man, Thor and Cap all at the same time. That's what I meant. There's being aware of the changing times and of what's appropriate to say and not say, and then there's replacing everything people LIKED about your stuff in order to pander.
