Yes, it would have.
-The move to June made it face tons of competition. Not even Secret Life of Pet 2 came out unscathed, which made less than half of the previous film’s box office.
-The move hurt the marketing campaign due to the merger layoffs. This was reported back in March. The movie had less awareness rates any other X-film and even Rocketman as a result.
-Misleadingly marketing hurts movies. That is a know fact.
