GotG v.2 Reviews are coming in...

Yeah I've never understood people's fascination with critics or rotten tomato scores. The only thing people seem to use RT scores for is an attempt to win an argument on whether a film is good or not. That doesn't change anyone else's opinion on it if they didn't enjoy it. It's just some way for people to try and prove a person's view on a film to be true or false. I watch a lot of Movie Fights with Screen Junkies and I get so sick and tired of how often they bring up Rotten Tomato scores to try and prove that their movie is better because one is an 86 and the other is an 82. I for one don't give 2 shits what any critic has to say. If I want to see a movie, you're damn sure I'm gonna go see it whether it's getting good reviews or bad because I want to form my own opinion and not be influenced by somebody elses. If it gets a fresh on RT, yay for it the fact that it does or doesn't have one won't in any way change my viewing or enjoyment out of the film.

A friend of mine, her boyfriend won't go see any movie in theaters with her unless it has a certified fresh on RT of over 90%. I just can't imagine how shitty that would be. He claims to be a film snob but in reality he's just a tool who think he's smarter than anyone because he's figured out how to only see quality movies. To be that reliant on other people's views on a movie to determine whether or not you think it should be good or not I find to be sad.
