My favorite of King's 'pseudonymous' novels, and one that I'd love to see made into an intelligent, sensitive film. Unfortunately, I suspect it'll be turned into some piece of action tripe no matter who's starring in it. very well said. i dont know why they would turn into action tripe because this sort of film has zero box office potential. so why not go ahead and make it the way it should be made? I'd almost prefer to see tihs made as a good cable or streaming film or short mini. Like you, I think the action-film approach might turn it into box office poison, but for some reason that's become a genre addiction Hollywood seems to find it hard to wean itself from.
