Wormhole 9 and his "no smoking" policy on marvel

My gut reaction to seeing anybody smoke is "oh, so they stink then". Which is odd, because I don't have a sense of smell so I have no idea what cigarettes smell like. I've just learned over the years that "cigarettes = stinky", from other people saying it.

But yeah, it means cigarettes never come off as "cool" to me in movies. Seeing somebody light up just instantly breaks me out of the movie and makes me wonder stuff like whether the actor likes smelling bad or something. Or whether they're smoking because they have some deep-seated unconscious suicide tendency.

I'm perfectly fine with smoking being left out of movies, if only for that reason.
