People have different tastes. If I was going out with a girl who hated a lot of my favourite movies and whose overall taste in movies differed radically from my own, it wouldn't necessarily kill the relationship. It might make it difficult when deciding what movie to watch on a given night, however, and I'm sure many drawn-out arguments would result.
