Lethal Weapon is considered a good movie and a classic so Iām not sure what you mean I mean I consider it dated because of its soundtrack. You don't have to love the music used in this movie, that's fine. But by this rationale, every single movie ever made is "dated" because they could only have used the music of that era or prior. That movie that came out last week? Dated! I'm currently in a marathon of a particular set of movies from the 50's and 60's and their "datedness" is what makes me enjoy them. The storytelling was more simple and maybe innocent. You feel a nostalgic-like feeling watching them, even though I wasn't born yet. I was alive when Lethal Weapon came out, and if I watched it now I know I'd notice how 1987 it seems, but that's not a bad thing...unless we're talking about all the mullets!
