am I the only one that doesn't mind when a movie is "dated"?

I don't even know what people mean when they refer to a movie as "dated" at this point.

It is a ridiculous criticism.

Is Blazing Saddles dated? Yes. I don't like the movie, but it being dated has nothing to do with it.

Part of why movies are fun and interesting is because they partly work as a time capsule.
