I respect your opinion in that you think the music sucks... There is all kind of music out there. Most people won't like everything... But, calling the music from 40 (or so) years ago "dated" is just an absolute BS comment... Because NO MOVIE can ever be made FUTURE PROOF! It was IMPOSSIBLE for "Lethal Weapon" to have music from TODAY, because it wasn't even created yet!... It's always going to be an absolute fact, that if you watch a "40" year old movie, that you are always going to hear music from at least 40 Year ago! SO... older movies can NOT be "dated" for having music that was only available, at the time the movie was made!... If you believe other wise, then every movie ever made, or will ever be made, will always be 'Dated" and therefor, the term has no meaning! So stop using it! Oh my lord ok, here’s my full explanation: I dislike the music in the movie. All of it. I hate it. I also am of the mindset that if this came out in any other decade besides the 80s, it’d have a different musical score/soundtrack. It’s distinctly 80s and if it wasn’t then IN MY OPINION, both the soundtrack and the movie would be better. So “dated” felt like the best word for it. Since that clearly is not allowed, I’ll just say it’s terrible IN MY OPINION. Literally no one has to agree with me. Based on the replies I’d say no one does agree with me, too. So be it, I don’t care. You must think a lot of 80's movies are crap then. Honestly Die Hard feels just as 80's to me. The movie uses a crappy Run DMC song within the first 15 minutes.
