If they could have played any of those Super Bowls in February in the cold of Buffalo, it wouldn't have been a problem.
The first one is the one that they really blew, especially considering that the Giants were using a backup at QB, albeit a pretty good one in Hostetler. They probably should have beat the Redskins also.
