Yikes, not for me. Susan resembles Bette, but in terms of her acting, it was as if she was just playing herself. Susan playing Susan trying to do a Bette Davis impression. Jessica, on the other hand, really shined showing many different facets of Joan. I especially liked her drunken moments. She deserves to win awards for this performance.
Let's see, there were:
(1) the seething, jealous Joan
(2) the drunken, crying Joan
(3) the drunken shouting Joan
(4) the drunken, shouting and crying Joan who threw things
(5) the smoking, crying, shouting and drunken Joan
(6) the insane Joan
(7) the slightly senile Joan
And that's pretty much it.
