The Cow is a nexus conduit for energy transfer to humans in processing the planet’s most abundant plant, she proves meat, milk, leather, fuel. She is probably the first source of capital. She feeds us, clothes us, gives us money, keeps us warm...just like Mom. No cow ever gave me money. In fact, all the beef I eat, I have to buy. All the milk I drink, I buy. Leather, too, I have to pay for. So what does that make the cow to me? A grocer? A used car salesman?
