I loved watching his show for a while until I went to the taping to see it done live and it soured the experience for me. Too staged. I mean whats the point of standing and chanting “Stephen, Stephen” like mamiaca if its only because a stage mamager demanded that thw crowds does so.

With how hard it is to even get in there thet can oretty much bet on people there being excited and lively dans, why manage them like cattle? First make them wait in linnefor 90 minuts even though they all have tickets, then tell them when to clap or stand? Disapointing.

Plus as much as I dislike Trump I feel like Corbert is not doing us such a big favor by constantly making crude jokes about Trump. Comes across as too snobby and selfserving in the end which is what the democrats are being scolded for anyway.. so why add?

So while i recognize Colbert as uber smart and talented, hese days I prefer Mayers or Noah.

I agree with the part of your post I emboldened. Unless you are a super liberal wacko, it's too much anti Trump.

I understand not liking Trump. But too much is too much. Seems counter productive. At least to independent moderates.

He is only stroking those who were never going to vote for Trump anyway. And turning off everybody else.
