Nope, GotG1 was a piece of crap and nothing like the Star Wars or Star Trek movies.
Its critical and general reception sure doesn't paint it as a "piece of crap".
It should be noted that Steven Spielberg, one of the most notable crowd pleasing directors of all-time, actually said that GOTG was his favorite superhero movie to date.
