It's interesting to see you rank Season 3 as your favourite (thus far), as I recall that when the season originally aired, back on the old IMDB boards there appeared to be a lot of complaining about Season 3. A percentage of people didn't seem to like the two female additions to the cast in that season - Ruby (Katie Cassidy) and Bela (Lauren Cohan). What's your opinion of them so far?

I remember this was the season that had the writer's strike, so it was a shortened amount of episodes. I wasn't fussed on the first episode of the season, but I thought it ended strongly.

Thanks for your thoughts on the early seasons of the show (Seasons 1-5 were my favourite).

Since this is a first time viewing, the rankings may very well change on rewatches. All seasons have been very good and the differences are slight. Right now Season 3 is my favorite because of the revelations in "Malleus Maleficarum" and other plot developments on this season. Although I liked Sam and Dean from the start, Sam's character development on season 3 has been very good.

I like Ruby. She has been a good addition to the cast. Bela is annoying, but I can forgive her flaws because the actress is gorgeous.

My favorite characters (besides Sam and Dean) are John and Bobby.
