I thought the 90s was his one handed, magical water-hand, long hair and beard phase? The next time I get flak for being a non-threatening, corn-fed, blond fish whisperer, I want to be immediately made over as a tattooed samoan war goddess. I mean like, immediately. Well, okay, I can't say for sure when that cover is from, but it seems like the edgy 90s where they were trying to make every superhero into some kind of ultra violent edgelord. This might be a gender thing but, aren't we overcompensating a bit when the hero has to mind-rape animals into devouring the enemy whole to establish his badass bona fides? Even his colleagues look a bit confused. |
