Kasdan is Star Wars royalty. The moment that Kasdan had to fly out to the set to try to pressure the director's to stick to his script, their days were numbered. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of theirs, and what I consider the worst part in the movie (e.g. Han speaking Wookie) was reportedly a scene that they shot. That and the Darth Maul scenes were the worst parts. That said, the whole movie was a bad idea for a spinoff.
