I was a mindless fanboy when I was a child. I considered anything that wasn't the Sega Genesis to be a cheap knockoff.
I started emulating in my early teens, and realized that the other systems of the time (SNES especially) didn't suck as much as I thought they did. I then found myself playing on those more than the Genesis.
No shade. I don't think everyone who likes the Genesis more is a fanboy, but I definitely was.
At heart, I'm a PC gamer anyway.
