Not you personally, but you are an advocate for conservatism and Christianity. I’m not sure where you stand in regards to your faith and rejection of scientific theory and don’t care. However, do you think gay rights should be outlawed as many of the Right Wing here do? Do you support Creationism or Intelligent Design taught in public schools? Should Christian prayers be said in school or before public school sporting events? How about government sponsored religious iconography? Should “In God We Trust” be on our money and why do I have to profess my nation is under God when I say the pledge? These are public issues that affect me and per the Christian Right folks, these are forced on atheists and non-Christians and we don’t deserve a say about it. At the risk of self-congratulation, I think I'm pretty good at keeping my politics and my religion separated, and it isn't easy when the person I'm talking to is constantly mashing them together. I never thought Trump was on loan from God, and I feel sorry for the people who do think that. Sorry about the money and the pledge. Lot of things I don't like but they're going to stay the way they are because too many people are content with them the way they are, so I try to concentrate on matters on which I just might have some influence. I’m not trying to debunk Christianity per se...I find a lot of it quite beautiful...but it would not hurt anyone to think in other terms once and awhile. But when it comes to forcing religion on me, forcing me to live a certain way (and a way that’s more about politics than faith) that has zero credibility of being true, yeah, I’m going to fight it. Why shouldn’t I?
