My first thought was that Neve Campbell is a terrible actress and Denise Richards is quite a good actress, when she is playing a snotty, spoiled bitch. See her also in "Drop Dead Gorgeous". My second thought was that I don't like Kevin Bacon and I do like Matt Dillon. And my third thought was "Hey, look, that's Carrie Snodgrass!" Love her! But I thought it was a pretty entertaining movie. If you don't mind me asking, Why do you think Neve Campbell is a Terrible Actress ? Like the way she draws attention to her performance by these annoying, little tendencies she has, like emphasizing a random word for no reason other than because it sounds offbeat. "Don't touch me!" to the lady cop and draws up her fist. Or probably every other line in the movie. She is not convincing at all and it doesn't even feel like she wants to be. She wants to feel herself to be different and clever. She did the same acting job in "Scream", overestimating her character or performance. Because she fails at being truly arrogant means possibly she isn't that insufferable in real life, but I just don't like her acting. At least Denise Richards makes a pretty realistic, entertaining spoiled brat. She delivers her lines in a more straightforward manner. Richards does much better here than Campbell. And, I can't say for sure, but I would think that most straight guys would find DR much more sexually attractive than Campbell, who also seems to go out of her way here to make herself look as blah and offputting as possible.
