This series was so good, I was lucky I caught it by chance on the premiere, because it got so little publicity that I saw. I think both Jessica & Susan should be nominated for Emmys, because this close in their performances, they played off each other so well, it would take the teeth out of the show if only one were nominated.
Just for fun facts, in real life, Joan's kids were all adopted. The "twins" as Joan called Cathy & Cindy, were not even related to each other. There was a resemblance though, so Joan ran with it. Older than tnem were Christina who wrote Mommie Dearest, and Christopher.
Bette had one birth child, her daughter BD. A son was adopted who was not in the series, and her daughter who was thought of as retarded, who was portrayed in the final episode. Who knows, maybe she was autistic.
