Well, Faith Yang was born in Taiwan and grew up in Sydney, Australia. She has a degree in biology and genetics from the University of Sydney but chose to pursue a musical career in Taiwan. She won the Taiwan Golden Music awards for Best Female Performer and was nominated for Best Album (Silence) in 2000.
