IMDb was listed on a page with movie-related websites at the back of one of the annual editions of Videohound's Golden Movie Retriever. I LOVED those books, but oddly, that tip-off to IMDb made that book obsolete to me, as I could get all the info about movies I needed for free instead of buying a big old book. Too long ago to remember. Was looking for a site to do some film related research and seemed to have stumbled upon it. Did not find the chatting areas until years later. The Golden Retriever book is still very handy to use when playing some of the movie related games.
