@deblovesbeccy , I like Castiel. I also like Alastair, Anna, Lilith, the story arc and the mythology. As a fan of The X-Files, it was good to see Mitch Pileggi on this show. That's great to hear Raimo47 . Season 4 was an awesome series and there were so many good episodes it would be hard for me to pick a clear favourite and I remember reading the writers were nervous about introducing angels into the show but I think they did a good job of handling them that season and I think you will like seeing them go up against Lucifer in Season 5. Castiel is probably one of the most popular characters in TV history to be introduced into a long running show in its fourth season and go on to become one of the main stars and he was only supposed to be in one or two episodes originally much like Spike in 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' but his popularity caused the writers to change their mind and keep him in the show.As much as I liked Anna I think they made the right decision keeping Cass instead of killing him off and having Anna in his spot as the angel that helps them going forward and the show would have been very different if they had made her a regular 'cause I think she was going to become a love interest for Dean too but I am hoping Anna returns for the final season and sites are saying Ruby and Belle could be coming back.

I assume you have seen the Ruby twist since you named 'Lucifer Rising' as one of your favourite episodes and the whole plan for her character was said to be completely changed around in Season 4 and when they had Katie Cassidy playing her she was going to stay good but when the network wouldn't make her a season regular and she left and was replaced by the second actress who is Jared's (Sam) Wife in real life they decided to make her turn out to be a villain and kill her off.

Ohhh and Chuck is somebody who are never expecting him to be. You don't find out until Season 11 but it is hinted at the end of Season 5 who he really is but I can't say more than that.

Although I don't usually like angels but prefer pre-christian mythology instead, this show and Xena are exceptions to that rule. The mythology (angels, archangels, god, demons etc.) and the Lucifer story arc are very interesting. I agree about Castiel. It was a good decision to make him a regular character.

I have seen the Ruby twist and I liked it. I had my doubts about her motives already on season 3 and early season 4, but it was still a surprise.

Unfortunately I was spoiled about Chuck's real identity. I didn't remember Zachariah's name and went to check it out on epguides.com. Chuck's name and real identity was mentioned on the guest cast list. From now on I will avoid anything Supernatural related on the net until I have seen the entire show.
