I remember that series.
And I'd love to hear your concept for it.
DC has cornered the Market on button mashing, fighting games. You get to live vicariously through the characters if you can master all of those massively complicated combos and stomach the thin plotting. I'd love for Marvel to go in the opposite direction with a video game. It would be great if the main player could move through the timeline of the Marvel Universe and play as different characters at different pivotal moments in their careers. You could, for instance, take on the role of Reed Richards as he is tasked with solving the enigma of Galactus during his first appearance on Earth. Maybe you have to prevent him from building his world devouring machine in time square or find the Ultimate Nullifier. You would get to play as almost any character - sometimes in fight-oriented scenarios and sometimes in puzzle solving situations. The player could get to be Elektra, Professor X, Jennifer Walters, Namor, Bruce Banner, Sue Storm or any Marvel character at a career-defining moment. The player would learn the history of the Marvel Universe as they took on new challenges and roles. I know it's ambitious but, I think it would be vastly more entertaining and challenging than smashing someone over the head with random debris for ten hours. I play MMOs and think a good game would be something along the lines of DCUO and Champions Online. Give it factions like mutant (Inhuman since this would be the MCU), alien, mutate, tech and magic for the origins of your powers. Playing as a Marvel character would be all fine and dandy, but I'd like to be "myself" in the Marvel Universe. What it would be like to be a new student at Xavier's or study under Dr. Strange or be a new Avengers recruit. To fight along side the New Warriors or Guardians of the Galaxy. I'd play the hell out of that game.
