What is your favorite dog breed?

While I certainly like or love most of the breeds posters have already cited (who can resist a darling little Westie, for example?), I am actually nuts for mutts. I have never owned a purebred dog, but two of our family's dogs were Beagle/Fox Terrier mix, and two others were "schnoodles" (Schnauzer/Poodle mix). All of them came from pounds or animal shelters. By "mutts" I generally mean "randomly bred", but there are a few "designer dogs" that appeal to me--one of my favorites being a Puggle (Pug/Beagle)...though I have a feeling that if I had one of those, it would be giving me orders, on account of their renowned stubbornness.
