There's articles and blogs out there they may go after a trade for Mookie Betts.
I didn't think they had the talent in the farm for that kind of trade but who knows.
The Mookster won't bring the baseball equivalent of the Hershel Walker trade. No team is going to bankrupt their farm system for one year of Markus Lynn Betts.
I'm getting more and more irate about this. Betts should have been "that player". The next Ted Williams, Carl Yastrzemski, Jim Rice, Bobby Doerr. Not in terms of numbers but in terms of what they meant to the organization and the fans. Now it appears he will be the next Carlton Fisk, Roger Clemens, Wade Boggs, Jon Lester. How the fuck could an organization like Boston let this happen? Shit like this happens to Pittsburgh and Kansas City.
