I was in attendance at the 1968 Democratic convention as a spectator which broke out into a police riot.
I was drafted into the US Army in 1969, the same year Americans landed on the moon.
I was a fifth grader when JFK was assassinated. I, too have many memories of that day. seemed to lose our country's innocence.
I do remember the riot at the Democratic convention. that must have been scary!
