When I was around 14, some cable channel was showing it. I had heard a lot about the film, and had already seen horror movies like The Shining and Halloween, so I figured I could handle watching The Exorcist.
Even on cable tv, that movie freaked me the fuck out. Probably my Catholic upbringing, but man, The Exorcist scared me like no movie I've ever seen, or ever will see. An absolute classic.
