I would think they'll give him a pretty good offer.
They will low ball him and defer most of the low ball. That's the offer on the table and that's the offer that was offered to every other big name free agent. Scherzer has $105m of his $210m deferred without interest. Strasburg had $70m of his $175m deferred interest free. Corbin had deferred money.
Rendon is all but gone. He was offered between $210m and $215m (don't know the length) and he turned it down in September.
Strasburg is going to opt out. He has 4 years $100 million remaining. He'll get a better AAV
